At Runners Feed, we believe the key to a successful running career: whether that is defined by running fast, or running till you’re 90, is long bouts of consistent, uninterrupted training, achieved through physical and mental wellness.
To ensure the wellness of our readers, we are assembling a team of Wellness experts. Our first Wellness Expert, who joined our team in February, is Dietician Jennifer Broxterman. You’ve likely read her weekly coverage of a running-relevant nutritional topic or tried out some of her delicious recipes (my personal favorite is the frittata!). View the nutritional services offered to Runners Feed athletes and Contact Jennifer to schedule a consultation.
Today we are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Greg Roberts to our Wellness Team. He will be contributing running related articles to help our readers better understand their bodies and achieve success as athletes and human beings.
Join us next week for our new segment called Ask the Chiropractor!
About Dr. Greg Roberts
Born and raised in London, Ontario, Dr. Greg earned his undergraduate degree in Biology (and Basketball!) from UWO in 1973. He then received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1978. This June, 2011 he will be starting his 33rd year in practice. Dr. Greg has enjoyed taking care of many athletes throughout his years of practice. Having played individual and team sports himself, he has developed an appreciation of the athletes’ psyche and the keen awareness they have of their bodies. This has been very helpful in caring for and supporting the athletes as they strive to reach and surpass their goals. Education is also an important component of care at his office. He helps the practice members to not only understand what they are experiencing in their bodies, but also why it is happening, which is integral to long term health, wellness and maximum performance.
