This past August 2012, the 2nd Annual Rock the Road 10K in London Ontario, Canada employed the latest registration technology, using RaceRoster.com.
Race Roster is a world-class online registration software that enables participants, volunteers, and anyone with a Race Roster account to earn cash for successful participant referrals; it’s called affiliate marketing. Rock The Road 10K had nearly 400 participants of which 23 were referred using Race Roster’s referral system.
During an era where participants are becoming increasingly irritated by registration giant Active.com’s incessant need to sell upgrades before checkout (eg. magazine subscriptions, training packages), Race Roster is able to do the opposite by offering participants the opportunity to offset their registration cost by simply referring their friends to join the event.
Brandon Laan, director of Rock the Road 10K, offered $5 for successful referrals; about 10% of registration cost. Laan says giving up $5 to gain $45 in registration earnings is a no-brainer and he plans to continue employing Race Roster’s registration services for future races.
Race Roster officially launched in June of 2012 and their team has spent the summer meeting with top race directors and race management companies who are equally thrilled about the new concept.
If you would like to earn cash for race referrals, set up a Race Roster account at www.raceroster.com and start promoting! If there are races you would like to promote, but cannot find on Race Roster, send an email with the race name to moreraces@raceroster.com.
If you are a Race Director who is eager-to-learn-more please contact sales@raceroster.com. There is no contract needed, or start up cost, to set up your event.
