Holding back tears New York Road Runners’ President, Mary Wittenberg, announced that Sunday’s New York City Marathon has been canceled. For the past few days and even earlier this morning NYC Mayor Bloomberg, advised NYRR’s to continue with the marathon, suggesting that the marathon brings people together and would aid in moving NYC forward after the devastating superstorm.
