D’Amico is no slouch boasting a 2:36 personal best for the marathon and has his sights set on breaking that record on March 20th. D’Amico is not taking this race lightly as he is logging 100 miles per week while blogging his progress on mcrunner.com.
Despite the fact that D’Amico’s doctor feels the diet it less than ideal D’Amico states, “I’ve been feeling really good.”
We should mention that he is eating on the healthier side of the McDonald’s menu, which includes grilled chicken sandwiches instead of the ever-popular Big Mac. This is the first time D’Amico has adhered to this type of diet, completely ignoring the diet that carried him to the finish line of his previous 14 marathons. Will he do it again?
We certainly do not suggest this approach to anyone; nevertheless we applaud Joe for his efforts to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Good Luck Joe D’Amico!
