This ordinary man has gained extraordinary recognition all because he decided to start running. On Dean Karnazes 30th birthday he walked out of a bar and started running. He didn’t stop for 30 miles. From that day forward Dean began expressing his passion for a healthier America through his passion for running. He has run 50 marathons, in 50 states, in 50 days, in addition to completing countless ultra-marathons. His remarkable achievements require extreme dedication and a very cooperative body.
Dean has teamed up with Live with Regis & Kelly as he embarks on his latest endeavor. Dean will be running across America beginning at Disneyland in sunny California on February 25 and running all the way to the Regis & Kelly studio in NYC. With a goal of running between 40-50 miles a day, Dean will accomplish this feat in about 75 days.
