If you’re tired of searching for a sports bra that’s both feminine and supportive, search no further. The product’s tag suggests it offers moderate support for yoga and gym activities but my experience suggests it has an even greater range of functionality.
The racerback shaped bra allows you to show off your sun-kissed shoulders and gives you full range of motion to seamlessly transition between poses or activities.
While lululemon does offer more running specific bras—this bra is up for the challenge. A spontaneous run with friends required that I try it out and I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t miss the extra support of my other bras. If you plan to use this bra for cardio-based activities you might consider erring on the smaller side. For example, if you can wear a size 6, you might consider squeezing into a size 4 to get the added support for running.
Let’s talk functionality—the back of the bra has a mesh window to provide ventilation and there are built in pockets for removable bra cups.
This bra is offered in a multitude of colors and even stripes!
Go ahead and break a sweat in the Flow Y, and keep it in mind for layering under your favorite tank top this summer!
Feedback: If you have broad shoulders, this bra can be difficult to put on. Perhaps a luxtreme (high performance and inherently moisture wicking fabric) version of this bra would be preferred for running.
To summarize, I wear my Flow Y Bra when I want to kick butt at the gym while feeling light and pretty!
At $42 this uber-cute bra is price competitive with most other sports bras on the market.
