Kara’s running journey began at a local 1-mile race that her Papa (maternal grandfather) took her too. Kara contributes much of her success through high school, college and now post-collegiately to her vastly different, yet evidently effective coaches.

Kara’s candid responses are informative and often humorous! When asked by a woman what to do about a boyfriend that keeps putting her down as she improves in the running scene, Kara frankly says, “Break up with your boyfriend!”.
