Congratulations to Andrea Secaffien on her 2nd place female overall, with a time of 18:02. We had a chance to chat with her after the strong finish.
My recent exierpence involves my GP, blood specialists and a consultant cardioligist. After an intensive (85% HRmax) in mid Jan, I exierpenced some missed heart beats, post run. Consulted my GP who advised that I slow way down as i’m not an olympian !!?! He also advised that I get full blood tests and a resting ECG done at the local hospital. I duly did, and the bloods came back clear, but the ECG showed some unusual results. Now 3 weeks of running later I got a call to advise me to go for a Stress ECG test. I asked whether I should continue running, I was told yes but not full throttle. So, I am confused, I had all the info for the doc on the day (he may have even though I was self-diagnosed) but I can still run? Anyway, my stress test in up on 4th March. Fingers crossed. I’m off for a 5 mile easy tonight.
