America’s 10 Best Cities For Runners

Forbes released America’s 10 Best Cities For Runners yesterday, and judging from our experience, we think they got it right.

Of course you could argue for cities such as Mammoth Lakes, California or Flagstaff, Arizona. The article is targeted at the masses, and takes into account race scene, running clubs, weather, and of course running trails and paths.

I was surprised to see St.Paul, Minnesota and Austin, Texas on the list, but the justifications made me want to pack my bag and spend a week or two touring the trail systems in these cities. The only city we were unsure of was Atlanta, Georgia. That being said, obviously people love running in Atlanta, because they host one of the biggest races in the world in The Peachtree Road Race.

  • Suprised to see D.C on the list – although it sounds like they play host to some great races. I’d love to check out Boulder Co – sounds beautiful and has the elevation factor as well.
